I want to do it myself.
Which brand would be best and is there a website that you know of that sells them?
Also if you guys have any pointers on installation I am listening or reading.
Also which form category would Lights would be under just to see if anyonehas a thread about this alredy.

Thank you

IMO it would be best to go with the factory SS setup. I've seen these up for sale on E-bay but I would also check out your local junk yards.

I found some at pep boys like 19.99, this pic you can see them, they are bright as hell and people always flash their lights at me at night, even though they are pointed at the ground. i kinda jerry rigged them into the hole, screwed them into the recess. took a little while but it was tool time. havent had any problems with them as far as falling off or staying lined up. i mounted the switch to the right of headlight/dimness **** on that piece of open plastic. looks pretty good and is flush inside. i hooked the power wire for the lights to the acc. fuse. have fun with it, tinkering always is.

Did you mount them to the plastic or did you find a nice sturdy mounting location?

Get any vibration in the light?

i mounted them to the plastic, the brackets that came with the lights would only allow me to mount to the plastic, and i didnt have any other materials to fabricate something at the time. no vibration, still pointing the same direction when screwed them in, i wouldnt have installed them if it was gonna look bad

Is it true that you can just take your monte to a Chevy dealer and have them put on SS foglights?

Thumbs up fog light

I just posted a thread similar to yours. I am having trouble installing mine so maybe we can brain storm. I can't advise completely on how to put them in till I get feedback on my thread but I ordered my fogs from go-part.com for about $130 shipping included but you have to either make your own harness as I have or buy an install kit at auto zone or advance or whatever.

I forgot to add that the light bulbs come with the fog lights from go-part.com and that I ordered a pair of 880 bulb sockets from eAutoworks.com for around $20 shipping included that you will need to fit the bulbs. All you have to do is wire them to the harness and then plug them into the fogs and flip the toggle switch, which I had to drill a hole in the blank area next to the headlight switch to install, and there ya have it.
