In Spring, I plan to sand and paint my muffler and tailpipe, and get a new chrome tip for it. Not sure what would look the best:

Flat black

Eh, not too worried about that. I don't mind a little touch up now and then

'Sides...my exhaust don't look like Mitch's before picture up there...mines all rust LOL.

I say flat black.. Mine are polished which I like but I'd prefer black for the mufflers

Looks like flat black wins it, lol.

Last summer I had a chrome tip off of a 2005 Cobalt I got from the junkyard, but it didn't fit well...little too big. Going to pick up a new one that fits better.

if you keep the paint layer thin it shouldn't chip.

mine hasn't chipped yet and it's been about 5,000 miles or so. (there's dirt on it in the pic)
