I sold my 02 LS for an 03 Pontiac Vibe. We had a new daughter and having two montes wasn't good. It didn't pain me to sell it since it was an LS and I also had an 06.

But if there isn't a successful 5.3 engine swap in a few years I will sell it for a 06, 07 SS.

well, I am in this situation right now, unfortunately. I am a Chevy truck person at heart and was heart broken to sell my 1990 Z71 to move to the US, but the Monte has been a good friend and cohort to me. Now that I am a dad, carting junior around in the Monte is just not very convenient. I am looking to get into an Avalanche now, sadly to part with my beloved Sylvia. (Ironically, as Enzo354 mentioned, I am having tranny concerns at the moment and not sure what the issue is.)

service guy at the Goodyear service center where I get my oil changes done mentioned the solenoid as well. I got the fluid replaced and it seemed to behave more. I'll start a new thread about it, though...don't want to hijack this one.

Jay, you're in the same situation wiz kidd and Mickey were in. Both of them had to sell their Monte for a more family friendly car. Wiz got a Magnum. Mickey bought an old school bus. Just kidding. He actually bought a Honda Pilot.

Sorry to read that you're going to have to sell it. But it's for good reasons though!
