lastnight, i raced my Monte for the first time. i dont like racing the Monte, i dont want to run it in the ground. before i got my car, i drove my moms Explorer with the 4.0 v6. i used to race it all the time. that thing has a surprising amount of power for an SUV.

but lastnight, i was at a redlight next to a 6 cylinder Mustang. i couldnt help it, i had to. lol. we ran neck and neck for about a 1/4 mile, then came to a hill with a redlight on the other side, so i slowed down... he didnt.

by the sound of his car, i think he had a supercharger. but it didnt match the stock power of my Monte.

 

I used to. raced a Mustang GT with my 06 SS had the needle pegged at 140 this was about 3 years ago.

I have settled down quite a bit since then ...think it was my grand kids.. I wanted to stay alive long enough to see them grow up.

BTW i smoked that GT

 

About two weeks after a friend of mine got an 08 SRT4 Caliber I raced him for a quarter mile in my pretty much stock monte and powerglided it for the win

 

I might run cars on the hwy every now & than i smoked a gtp once on the hwy

 

ive only raced one car on the street....well it wasnt a race. it was an mk4 supra that pretty much ate me lol. but i have beaten a stock foxbody in the 1/4 before

 

I was next to a grand prix today that sounded pretty built. I tried to get him to play cruising along and when we came to a red light I thought for sure he would go but he didn't. That thing sounded tough too i would have liked him to get on it a bit.

 

I would NEVER race my Monte Carlo on the streets. That is completely illegal.

I have never smoked tons of stupid Hondas, a couple older bmws, and 2v Mustangs.

I would never ever even think about getting pulled over having 100+mph fun on a highway with a Grand Prix.

Those things are just STUPID and very IRRESPONSIBLE.

OP, that Mustang you raced, it probably didn't have a supercharger. Chances are the alternator was going bad, makes a whining noise

 

thats soooo true pahahaha. im bettin you drive 5 mph UNDER the speed limit also? pahaha :P

 

Hey Chibi, here's something else I bet you've NEVER done: driven 110 mph and then held a camera in one hand to take a picture of the speedometer registering this fun speed. Not that I would ever do such an irresponsible thing...especially not with my cousin in the front seat, cheering me on!
