I think you're SOL too.

I'd be constantly pressing the trunk button while starting the car.

No, you can do them...

I was just looking at them the other day.

AutoLoc Switch Blade Flip Key System - NO REMOTE - FLIPKEY ONLY - « autoloc.com

not worth it to me, it's just a key, but it's still cool

just keep the other fob that you currently have

or you can get this but you may need the other control module

So is that 30 bucks all you would have to pay? Or you have to get other stuff? I think the keys are kinda cool, and I have to fix the range on my remotes anyways, so if it involves switching out the antenna or anything like that I would consider doing this in the process

I like the idea, but my only way of seeing it work is to do one heck of a retro fit, rip the thing apart, some how get one of our keys in there and retro fit the guts from the remote in. Might work....

thanks for all the feedback you guys!

okay would it be more realistic to get one of these?

my main objective behind this is because i would like to eventually have a remote start installed, and i want to have a spot on my remote for that. rather than having to hold down the "unlock" button for it to start like ive seen on some 2000 impalas. (and i dont really want an aftermarket remote for it!)

My only thought would be the compatibility of that remote and whatever remote start system you have installed. Not sure if they would all work together like the factory systems do on newer cars.
