hey everyone I have a 1988 montecarlo, i passed emmsoion test already. The problem that i have now is I want to put in a 350 with headers and a few other things done to it. Does any one know the ontario law for when a car can be teted as a hotrod. The car will still have the cats on the exhaust but most of the other emmsion stuff will be gone. want to clean the engine bay up and all the hoses running looks like crap. I have looked for hours about this with no luck some people say as long as it is a engine that did not come with the model year then its a hotrod. Some say that the swap had to be done before jan 1 1999 for it to be a hotrod after that it still gets tested as the originall car did. Sorry for this long subject just trying to find out as the hotrod standards are a lot higher readings your allowed. Which would help with the emmsion stuff being removed thanks
