dyno tuned!
so i got my car dyno tuned monday. my car before the tune did 189 hp and 202 tq........it was running soo rich which is also the reason for the bogging in the morning at cold starts while in open loop. it was just flooded. he changed a sensor setting that was reading high and the next pull showed a huge improvement, 217ph and 220 tq. almost completely fixed my A/F ratio and now it puts down 234hp and 226 tq to the wheels. what a difference the tune made. we are gonna go back and fix the A/F ratios a little more next week because its still running slightly rich. the big test was those damn cold starts when my car would nearly stall out till my car started to get warm. its a common problem with SS M90 kits but its fixable. just the stock tune zzp programs in.
im hoping to break 240 to the wheels after we fix it a little more. it was tuned with HPTuners. anybody have suggestions with HPTuners??

Those are some impressive numbers. The only suggestion I would have is to re-tune on the street or track. For the record, I didn't invent this opinion, but it makes sense. When I approached Tino from Procision Auto about dyno tuning he told me we could do it on a dyno, but it was best to leave it out and test on the street or the strip. Dyno numbers do not always equal results/ speed. Certainly a good place to start - probably a lot better then my street tune in the rain! But you'll notice performance gains again when/if you retune at the strip.

do you know what power you were at before you put the supercharger on(SS m90 kit). just so i know where i am at among all the other non supercharged guys. i do plan on getting the SS m90 kit someday but the bank looks a little rough at the moment lol.

haha blacksheep, i have to find that poll. i will be higher HP though! junior, that retune sounds like a good idea, i'll see if my guys can do it like that. shouldnt be a problem. im not sure what i was making before the kit, but i had all supporting mods for the kit before i dropped the kit on. rockers, exhaust, downpipe ect..... my guess is maybe 185 to the wheels.

well i did prove you wrong as the matter of fact i was the only person voted 240 or less. next mod you need is full size ic...wow this really wake up the mc i should of done that on my first mod. i love my stage 2 ic

ok. im at 170 at the wheels now, considering stock is about 160 at the wheels

C'mon 245 :P
And you were thinking 280, silly silly
Jaws, 170 to the wheels, you got a slip to prove that? because you may have some mods for performance, but your rims, and sound system add a lot of weight that would kill you lol

actually i do have the dyno results when i go find the paper with all my other stuff for the monte i will see if i can scan it in and post it. with the rims i never noticed much difference but ya the the sub does, when i set my fastest 0-60 i had the sub out(makes a huge difference.)
the tune had to be done to get the code out, but he went and made some great improvements to the power torque and air fuel ratio. along with tightening up the shift-points(helped alot) and removed the governor.
