Took me a while to realize it was RWD, From what I hear it is an Impressive feat. What does one have to go through to accomplish that?

Smile ....Monte video...

......I wish GM would've produced a rear wheel drive Monte carlo.
It might have , even better, appeal than it does now. With that said,
and coming from the forty's age bracket; please take your cars to
the local drag strip to do that stuff ? or. Organize a local car-show
with burn out contest and whatever else you may think ofto draw
spectators. Street racing is dangerous. Pure and simple.
But I'm an old guy who does'nt abuse the cars I drive. Be sensible
and but have fun with these cars. The Monte Carlo that is out there
is a fun car to own and drive. Enjoy it !
But, yes, GM should've made a rear wheel drive for this car. However,
there is nothing wrong with the FWD version.

Dream, sort of because it's RWD... Night mare... Yes, those 22 inch wheels doing a burnout is a nightmare.

If only, if only..........
I was actually looking at this and it would be tough to do because there isn't much room for a trans in the trans tunnel, plus, you would have to custom make either a way to get a four link in the non existant space back there, or figure out a way to adapt an IRS system from a corvette or cadillac. Then if you can do that, you have to make a new gas tank, which is easy enough because you can get rid of the spare tire tub, or just get a fuel cell to pop in the trunk. Then there is the exhaust, which shouldn't be too bad, but, I haven't even mentioned the clearance issues with headers and fitting/mounting the engine. All in all, unless you have a master fabricator and a mechanical engineer [I am for hire for this ;-)] at your disposal, it would be pretty difficult.
