Default Does your car have a name?

Rides are always known to be female by tradition. Many other forums I am in, especially the motorcycle ones have names for their rides. Many are androgenous. I've never named my rides, but my friends and families have given them names. Nicknames are always the best when somebody else does it. The other night, my bowling buddy who is 20 years old named my Monte. He said that she looks like a "Carla." I liked is because she is a car that lives in LA. Thus CARLA. I think I'll keep it. Here are the other names that others have give my current rides.

Bertha: My daughter said that my '93 Caddy look like a Bertha. I nick-named her Bertie after a former boss who had a tacky Seville and who we stuck a potato in his taill pipe one day when we were pissed at him.

Snorlax: The more androgenous Pokeman name of my Yamaha FJ1200. Snorlax is a monster who sleeps for years only to be awakened and thus eat millions of pounds of vegetation until he falls asleep again. Similiar to the way I park the bike for weeks only to be awakened to gobble up hundreds of miles of road inside of a few days.

Togepi My white 97 Escort that is in the shape of an egg like the Pokemon monster. My daughter named it of course.

Mammoth Racer: My 97 Dodge Ram 3500 vnamed by my best friend after the huge vehicle that gave Speed Racer a lot of problems.

??????: My 1965 Chevelle, SS, yet to be named.

Has anyone ever had their rides named or have names for their rides? Curious, who named it, what is the name, and why?

Have a great weekend. See everyone on Monday.

My 02 SS is named Madelyn, a name she gave herself and communicated to me telepathically one day as we were cruising cross-country through wide open parts of Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas and Iowa. It was a great ride and by the time we got to our destination, I knew what I would always call her.

A friend of mine wanted to call her Delilah, as my obsession with her is about as close as I'll ever come to cheating on my wife.

My '93 Cavalier RS went by the unoriginal "The Cav".
My wife's '98 Silverado Extended Cab has no name. Women.
My '77 Toyota Longbed pickup was Li'l Blue.

I don't name my cars, but people call my IROC the "Pet ROC" for obvious reasons:

not sure about the nicknaming of my car. i thought about gettin a plate that read OCNSPRY or som'n. which says Ocean Spray, which is cranberry juice...if you hadn't figured it out, my car is burgundy...cranberry!
but if i did nickname it, Cranberry would be it..sounds kinda weird though...no homo!
