does anyone here have the SS hood?
a buddy of mine has a ws-6 hood on his grand prix gtp but its crappy. it doesnt look to fit right and feels weird. i think it was just molded onto a stock hood but i dunno. the SS hood isnt just a mod on im assuming but i jsut want to know if its flimsy feeling and if its going to fit perfect on the car.
under stood.
From the pepole i talked to wit them they are verry happy with them they say that they are well made and nt flimsy at all
I have never seen on in person but i have seen them on photos nd they look real straight from what i have seen and heard.
But wish i could help you more then just what i have heard.

If by SS hood you mean the Ramair hood then I can tell you what you need to know. For one their are two companies that make it, and they do it differently as well. First you have the people that were the 1st to make it, MPD-Inc. Their hood keeps the stock underhood steel bracing and replaces the hood top skin with a fiberglass top skin. It is a top notch hood. Then there is the PFYC hood that copied MPD-Incs design but it is an all fiberglass hood. Also of note is that MPD-Inc offers a Plenum to make the hood functional.
I myself have the MPD-Inc hood and have absolutely no complaints with it. I have spoke to one guy at a car show that had the PFYC hood and he said he was on his 3rd PFYC hood becuase his 1st two didn't line up with the fenders right.
My hood lines up great, latches like the stock hood and is just as strong as the stocker. It doesn't feel flimsy at all, it will bolt straight on with no fabrication needed. It's been awhile since I've had mine so I can't tell you how much it costs to have painted. Hope that's some of the info you were looking for.
