May be an exhaust tone change if its quiet enough out/ you can hear any exhaust sound at all.

There's nothing obvious (like a light on the dashboard) or anything - at least there wasnt on my GP. But once you're familiar with the before/ after feel, it's apparent when you're looking out for it.

I do wonder though- is it even worth it to you to deactivate it if you aren't already aware of it / frustrated by it / having issues related to it? Usually the people that are gung ho to get rid of it are those already opposed to it (ie just put on a louder aftermarket exhaust and can't stand the 'Huey coming in for a landing' helicopter chop on the highway).
I've owned the car like 2 months and yet to take it on the freeway I believe hah. Just driving around town in D. I have a resonator delete and flowmasters, not sure the series so the car does make some noise. If I get a chance today I'll take it out on the freeway. Its just my fun project car not my daily so I haven't gotten around to the freeway but I haven't noticed anything different while driving it compared to any other car i've driven. My mom's SUV turns off if its sitting at a light too long to save gas! I'm really not sure how it works but its obvious its a fuel saving thing. These new cars i'm not used to haha i'm pre smog.

Ha - do you remember the Cadillac famous “4-6-8” engines? Well your Monte is similar to that car that it changes from V8 to L4 depending on your driving. To me it makes the engine rather sluggish or it hesitates when you “give it the gas”.

Then you'll hear it for sure. It'll suddenly go from sounding normal v8 to some kind of weird helicopter once you get to a steady state speed.
