I really don't know much about the value, but if it was my daily driver I would not make the switch.

If it's just one of your cars, then I would consider it depending on what people have to say about the value of the older Monte Carlo.

Personally, I would trade. Even if the Aerocoupe has a crappy 305 in it, you can do so much more performance-wise with that car than you can yours. You can easily build up (cheaply) a 350 or even bigger (there is NO substitution for cubic inches!) and drop it right in. I don't think anything beats rear wheel drive performance. Plus the Aerocoupe was a very unique design that is sure to garner more attention than the average, modern day Monte (the only other car similar was the Aerocoupe Grand Prix). Heck, I'd do it if he were in Chicago!

I also agree that if it's your daily driver, stick with the '01, but if it's just another car, and if the aerocoupe is in great shape, it's only going to continue to gain in value, while the '01 is going to keep loosing value. The aerocoupe and the '01 are probably similar in value right now.

yeah i would not trade if it was going to be a daily driver, old cars can be daily drivers but i dunno i always have better luck with newer not breaking as much.

I agree, if its your DD, stick with the 01, the older cars get crappy gas milage in comparison to the newer ones.

Aero coupe = very rare

01 Monte = a dime a dozen

Do it if you like it.

The question is it your daily driver .... or do you have somthing you could use as a daily driver

the aerocoup is rare and in that condition would be worth the trade but you would want a dd and use that one as a weekend/show/ whenever you want a little fun car....
