My Bro and I had a great time at the race today, except for Jr. not winning!! lol! My '03 Pace Car went "home" I didn't really get a lot of pics, just were not that many photo ops while trying to watch the race!!

Thanks all! we had a great time,first time my brother got to hear the "Frieght Train " roll by!! He was stoked!! The improvements at the track are underway, from what I could tell they are adding additional upper stands above the older turn 4 back towards the start/finish line? we sat in the "Oldfield" box section,which is the original sections out of turn 4,good seats would have been better up higher! we carried way too much stuff in!! so now we know what to do better next time!! our tickets were 140$ each! so yeah, it is getting quite pricey, but I got blessed, a lady at my hotel gave me 4 Lucas 200 tickets valued at 99$ each for the Saturday before and I couldn't go nor my nephews so I sold on craigslist the day before for 150$ she also gave my buddy 2 500 tickets which he sold for 300$ and gave me 150$ for smoozing with her for them! so basically we went for free!! God is good, all the time!!

 

I'm glad you had a good time. It is difficult and awkward to be the **** snapping pictures while history unfolds around you. You feel like your missing out when your looking thru a camera. But it is important to take pics because in the end it the only thing tangible you have left of the event. When I was @ the Daytona, I was acutely aware that it would be highly unlikely I would return. I literally have 1000's of pics. 100's of the race too. Danica's first ever wreck happened in the 2010 Nationwide race - I probably got 50 of the incident.

Even the great shots I have of the BudChev came at the expense of me looking like an idiot. Like that beach shot - it was freezing and stormy. Y'notice no one around? People gotta wonder what I'm doing when I photoing cause I drive the car off road a lot to get a better shot. But people often join in on those shoots too.

 

I know junior! ur right! I wanted a pic of us with my car with the Daytona race track sign in the pic, no way to do that! : ( we talked with a couple other Monte ss drivers in the parking lot and none of them had a clue as of what,model style or anything about their own car! ugghh! honestly I expected to see more "cool" nascar or hotrod vehicles there than we did!!!
