Default Dale Jr 88 monte carlo

This came up on Facebook and the car lives not to far from me. I think the owner did a good job

Once they made the Switch to a 4 door car it is difficult for folks to make up a Tribute car doing anything but an older version. I think 5th Gen Montes make a more realistic appearance and if you could adapt an SS Front
end, grill and valance. But the SS if very hard to find. I sat in the first one about a month ago, I think it was a 2013 and it was supposedly new for a Sticker price of 46K it had 500 miles on it. It was marked down to 43K.

Looks pretty good, lot of extra effort there for sure. Wonder if he has any engine mods done to make it holds it's own when the inevitable challenge comes a knocking.

The chrome wheels take away from the NASCAR authenticity he may be trying to convey.

I have never seen the SS, it's extra cool you found one. 43 k? That's up there, wonder if it is worth it. Have not looked to see what kind of aftermarket support there may be developing for these cars. So you did not do the ol test drive eh?

He did a fantastic job. But Jr never drove an 88 Monte Carlo, so that takes away from it. It would have seemed more authentic on an Impala.

I can't really tell from the pic but to me that monte don't look like it's an SS

I know what your sayin' Tweek. Just looks too big in the back and long, but look real close at the name on the grill "Chevrolet SS". The rear tire on the 88 car is where the back door would be.
