Ouch dude.

You get an estimate yet? I'd check the gaps in the body panels there to make sure they didn't get bumped.

oh yeah theresaTheresa gap alright. Estimate is about 4100 in damages and two weeks in repairs. Thank god for my body shop cause the insurance tried going aftermarket with everything and they convinced them to brand new (not even used) original GM parts for everything. The only thing that's bothering me right now is that they are putting a brand new wheel on it but putting the same old tire back on it as well. I'm working the overnight shift and when I get off I'll give you guys the exact breakdown of all the damage I did.

It's actually kind of a good thing, if you check the picture out in my signature you can see that i had a little pre-existing damanage to the right front (the bumper extension isn't flush properly) and the right front fender was buckled a little bit (though for the most part that was hidden by the checkered flags). I was going to have to have to replace all that myself anyway, and this way all I pay is the $250 deductible, and as long as my insurance rates don't go up too much I should come out on top

oh man that is rough!!! are you also getting the "small ding" repaired from when the guy backed into it too? that really sucks man, i hate it for you. best of luck on all the repairs, i hope you are able to get it fixed better than new!!

i used to drive a 99 corolla before i got my monte, and it was pretty trashed. i never cared about little dings because it was so f'd up that you'd never notice a new scratch. now that i have a "nice car" though, i can certainly understand how much it sucks when something like that happens. you'll have to keep us updated on the repair status.

yeah i'm getting that dinged taken care of as well, the car is obviously in the shop now so it looks like i'll never be able to get a picture of the damage. The same body shop is fixing both accidents. A bit of humor in that I'll probably be getting a second rental car as both accidents require more then a days worth of work and the insurance company is required to provide a car. Obviously I'll just stick with the one rental I got now (an 08 Impala that is pretty nice and has me wanting to figure out how to install remote start in my monte) and pocket the cash on the other.

haha there you go. not a bad deal.

side, if you figure out the remote start let me know. that's something i've wanted forever and with the -3 degree weather lately, i can't stand going outside with the car cold!! thank god the heated seats are super quick!
