Thanks. It will look MUCH better in the future. I'm debating whether to do red stripes or not as well. And I also forgot to mention that there is definitely a High-sport kit in her future. Gonna swap the trunk for one with a vertical spoiler as soon as I have the extra cash to do so. I'll just have to remember to keep the decal with all the RPO codes when I swap it out. I'm really looking forward to seeing what it and the 73 will become in the future.

yeah they do I love it over the volt gauge but its gotten me into some trouble because I cant keep out of the gas lol, and why dont you just buy the spoiler rather than swap the whole trunk?

Because the 00-05 spoiler doesn't line up right and the 06-07 vertical spoiler are fairly hard to find around here, plus I'd have to get part of the trunk lid repainted. Be a lot less work just to swap out trunk lids. I'd still recoup part of it by selling the old trunk lid anyway. Just a lot easier IMO since I won't be getting anything painted anytime soon. And with my car being black it shouldn't be too hard to find a trunk lid for that color.

I have the surfboard spoiler on mine. The holes for that spoiler are different from the ones on the 00-05 vertical spoiler. The 06-07 spoiler lines up with the holes for the 00-05 surfboard spoiler but there is a portion of the trunk lid do not line up. The 00-05 vertical spoiler is the weird one of the bunch cause it's different than everything else. All the other spoilers from 00-07 have the same holes in the trunk as each other.

Exactly. Eventually I will have it looking really good but I know it'll take time. It won't happen overnight that's for sure. At some point I plan on getting another Dale Jr Monte Carlo and so I'll probably wait till then if I decide to do an LS4 swap. I'll probably snag one of those MCs when I come off that next deployment. Hopefully the cosmetics on my current 01 will be where I want it by that point so I can commence with the engine swap.

That sounds great man, the Dale Jr with a V8 would be pretty wicked, I'm hoping to get a cheap SS with maybe 120-140k to use as a commuter car for groceries and work until winter then use my truck because 12mpg is killing me and my S/C SS is basically my toy/baby so she dosent see many parking lots or miles.

Nah a Dale Jr would be left original. Modded probably yes (mainly cause I know those L67s pretty well) but I wouldn't do that swap on a Dale Jr car. If anything gets the LS4 it'll be the 01.
