Default coin holder.

Did the 2004 MC's come with a coin holder? The reason I'm asking is when I first got the car, I noticed that in the center console there were these two posts in the front part of the center console that looked identical to the ones in my 98 Z71 truck that has the center console that a coin holder slides on. I had an extra coin holder that I picked up at a JY and tried it in my monte and it fit perfectly. I now have a coin holder. I was just wondering if these cars came with one and that mine was obviously missing. Thanks.

You mean the slot next to the shift?

My 2000 didn't have one when I bought it either. But like you said, I was almost positive those GM coin holders from other cars would fit right into my center console. Gald you tried it, because now I'm going to look for one of my own.

I'll have to take a picture of what I'm talking about. Its a rectangle plastic box with spring loaded places to put quarters, dimes, and nickels. It has two slots on the back of it that slide down on posts. I had noticed the posts inside the center console and I remembered that their shape looked just like the ones inside the console of my 98 chevy truck. I'm sure this coin holder is still available from GM or go to a JY and see if any of my style of trucks still have the coin holder inside.

DO NOT put change in the door pocket thing. it'll get wedged down inside and you'll have to pull your panel off and turn it upside down.
