So I'm looking a putting an SS cluster in my 04 LS, and of course I have afew questions lol, is there anything i need extra besides the cluster to convert them? such as wiring or a harness or anything, and if i get a used cluster from an SS will it read the miles that was on that car or the miles that are on mine? never doen a digital one before and I've hear that the cars computer stores the mileage and that it will read that if you get a different cluster but I'd like to know for sure.

 

harness is the exact same
and u will have to get ur miles transferred :p
also the oil gauge wont work, but everything else will work just fine, and look awesome btw

 

thanks this is great to know! where would I be able to have the miles transferred though? at a GM dealer? And the oil gauge is no biggie to me this is my 2nd project car, and once i get my truck paid off I'm either going to get a true SS or a Supercharged 04 GTP, and this will become the girlfriends car, so far I've fixed the airbags, the module for the air bags, hood bumper and headlights, i just have to get a new dash pad (person who owned it before me broke 2 of the clips) and the plastic piece that goes around the ignition and have the airbag light turned off and i badly need new keys the set the previous owner gave me looks like they went through a lawnmower and washer and dryer a few times lol.

thanks, Iv ebeen on that site before and they look great I'm thinking of getting one with the paint around the gauges, by the way like the white Monte, my best friend who got me into them has a 2000 white ss, and the camaro i previously built was white, but i thought it was too hard too keep the clean lol

yea true that, i wash it and a couple minutes of driving later it already starts to show the grime lol

 

and for the most part yes it is fun, the bumper and hood paint are slightly off from the rest of the car, but thats why i got the bra on there lol

lol thanks, I wish I could have painted them myself but I'm not that far along in learning yet, and its much easier to get things right on the second project, the first one cost me 6k and then the engine went bad, but this time i knew what to look for and thankfully i got the carfax, it had a brand new headgasket, well it has 5k miles on it, when i got it which is good considering its a 3400 lol
