Are you talking about the black plastic thing sticking out from under his bumper?

That's called an air deflector. While driving it forces air up and at your engine keeping it cooler. It's stock on the car, don't you have one?

The black piece is the air deflector. The sliver metal piece on each side of the air deflector is the cradle.
