I think you should have called the cops in that area... HOW ****ING STUPID do you have to be....the minute they ran the vin i bet it would come up as stolen... if you're going to post an ad like that on craigslist you deserve it.

this ought to be interesting todd, you shoulda told him you needed the vin to do a carfax, caus you need the subframe, and a bent one is no good to you
i woulda said it was some dumb wealthy kid who abused it & now has something better,
but im leaning towards stolen due to him stressing the NO TITLE deal.....
there was a guy about 3 blocks away from me who is in lockup for purchase / possesion / sales of stolen vehicles.... i would ride by & he always had a bunch of wrecked mustangs (94 - 05) in his yard, and he would be painting / fiddeling with a couple of nice ones of the same years in his gradge.... then one of the nice ones would appear for sale about the same time one of the wrecked mustangs would go away... turns out he was swapping the vin tags from the wrecked cars w/ the titles, making the stolen ones mach the vin, & selling for a huge profit..... till he sold one to a cop's son, lol.
