I havent been on here in a long time. I joined when my dad bought his 07 ss. Well, now I have the chance to buy it. He bought it new and drove it for a couple of months and then put it in storage with his 85 ss. It now has either 3200 or 3500 miles on it, cant remember but it is absolutely new. What is out there for aftermarket on these cars? What would you guys recommend as far as performance upgrades? The car is precision red with the silver ground effects and the silver stripes. Thanks a lot. I messed the title up, it is an 07 not 06.

I'm sure our member's will also post the best mod's that they have done to their Monte's.

Thanks you very much KidSpace. I have wanted this car since he bought it. It seemed such a waste for it to sit in the garage but at least I will have a low mileage monte. I will probably try to keep the miles down but I wont be able to resist driving it for a while. Thanks for posting the pic for me. And as for in the family, that is where it will stay, until I die anyway!lol

The 4th gen is dads and has 42,000 on it if I remember right. It is an 85 and is MINT. That car looks brand new all the way to the engine. Interior is awesome. Not a scratch on it. The only thing was, the previous owner (wich was the original owner) put a car cover on it and it snowed on the cover and froze, so the hood has a real light spider web effect to it. The only thing not factory original on it is the exhaust and tires. Nothing else has ever been changed or worked on. Well, probably brakes im sure.

congrats on joining the monte family, thats so cool that its like new. some proformance upgrades i would try would be cold air intake, headers if you have some more money to spend either change the cams or add a supercharger

 

Thanks guys, and yes, I have drove it once. He has only driven it 3 or 4 times, it has been in storage for 6 or 7 years. Only gets took out for a few minutes to run. It really runs good to only have a 305 HO in it.
