Default Bumper Bar?

So... I was considering putting the Police Type bumper bar on The Beast. I am not sure if the mounting points are the same though... Any ideas? Do you think it would fit/look good?

I am thinking it will fit... Here is the front of MY car...

I'd say for the most part it would be the same. I'm sure it bolts into the frame underneath, but I'm no expert on that.

Planning on pulling a pit maneuver soon? I would imagine the mounting holes are there already. I cant imagine them adding new holes just to bolt on a push bar on the police cruisers. It doesnt look like it would work with your style grills tho. The police impala pictured has slat style grills and you have the mesh style grill. I would think you would need to cut your grills or get the slat style grills in order for the push bar to go through.

you would have to make holes into the plastic bumper cover and figure out how to make the bumper rail that is under it would fit it but it isnt hard to do but it is time consuming to do if you know how to do body work.

Hmmm... Thanks for the advice. I am friends with a bunch of the MP's here on post. I'll bet that they will let me borrow one of their cruisers to check it out. Style wise, do you think it would work? PURELY from an aesthetic point of view. The functionality will be there just because I will be bolting a huge chunk of metal on the front of the car.

Honestly, if you want it just for looks I would say dont do it. IMO it would look riddiculous on your car. Completely out of place. Anyone who sees you driving around with a push bar on a FWD car will most likely just make fun of your car.

Do a cop paint job and get some lights? I think it would look though If you mounted some fogs to it.

I know the impalas are front wheel drive. I know it CAN be done. Its one thing to have a big push bar on the front of a police cruiser, but to put one on an everyday driver just because is another story. Even the big crown vics police cars that drive around my area with push bars on them get poked fun at and they are large RWD tanks.

i think it would look cool, but you do have the turbo and i only see this weighing you down and slowing you down, now im not exactly sure how much it weighs, but i know for sure it will be some added weight.
