I accidentally ripped my rear view mirror off the windshield a while back. So today I decided to fix it. Well when I went to put the mirror on the metal clip I glued on to the windshield I guesse I was a bit to rough. I ripped the metal piece off the windshield again. If thats not bad enough when I looked saw something horrible. I ripped the glass it was glued to off my windshield too. Big 1.5" chunk of glass came out at the same time. So now I need a new windshield, The Intimidator decal (they dont even make these anymore), and a new metal piece. Note to self have someone with a delicate touch work on my monte.

Yeah those metal pieces can break glass easy, you can get reproduction decals off ebay or have a vinyl shop make u a new one, id call Safelite or Maverick to install a new windshield most shops call them & mark the price up, they will come to ur house too

 

i did that to my 96 monte i ended up put the mirror above wer it was cracked its something you could do for the time till you can fined The Intimidator decal i had my car 4 years after that and the windown never cracked

there is a better person on ebay that makes them that i am ordering one from, type in intimidator ss on ebay and it will pop up. they have one with a SS behind it as well that is what i am getting for my 01 ss and 02 earnhardt edition.

 

I had it happen before too in my old car. the glass was still on the metal tab so I put glue in the hole and on the tab and stuck it back in. The windshield never cracked.

 

windshield will be replaced tomorrow. 220.68. Decal I looked up the ebay ones but they look different same lettering but color is different. I want it to look factory because for some reason chevy thought all Intimidators came with bulletproof windshields and they only made enough decals to put on the cars. I ripped out a huge chunk of glass. It is cracked already. I need to replace it.

 

I must have typed it wrong. Everything that came up was for the Intimidator SS Silverado truck. The longest decal I saw was 17". Do you have a link? Does the seller you found have it the same size as factory without the "SS"? If he wants it to look factory, it can't have the SS.
