Default blacked out third brake light??? should i

ok so the other day i finally blacked out my reverse lights and added a smoke license plate cover. i like the results but still am not satisfied with my third brake light. heres what she looks like.

has any one tinted the third brake light?
its between that or the led and from what i hear it looks and proforms great, but does not fit right inside the deck lid.

so you have the third led brake light and then you tinted. i just wanted to do one or the other.

i suppose i could experiment .

thanks for the pic.

well i did my reverse lights and there is considerably less light output. idk cause my led tails light the whole block up. i kinda just wanted to know what it looked light.

yeah im not sure how it will blend with the tails. i actually couldnt find vht nightshade so i used a similar product from rustoleom. not sure of the difference.

i really want the LED one but want it to fit right im waiting on
DCFLA to post a pic of under the trunk lid.

maybe ill just tint it in the meantime.
did you put a clear coat on top of yours? i didnt yet. not sure if i have to.

Sorry I wrote back on the other thread but I will take it tomorrow when its light out. But I had mine tinted black at first using the NiteShade, and have the same tails as you, and the only problem with that was the third brake light is not an LED so they look like two completely different shades of red, which I did not like.

Why not just go for a 3rd brake light overlay?
