2006 LTZ with 29000 miles & no modsunless you countK&N filter. Running Mobile 1 engine oil. Mostly highway driving, but living SW of Chicago that can be some stop and go at times (like today going 2 miles in 1 hour - I love I-55!!).I have also been told that my driving habits can sometimes be agressive. Can count on each tank averaging 24.8-25.2 mpg.

Since buying my MC I have been babying the hell out of it. The computer reads out at 20.4mpg, but that cant be right. When filling up at the pump, Im getting roughly over 22mpg just crusing around town.

My question to everyone who has TC, do you drive with it on, or off? I seem to get better mileage with it off.

Plus I plan on getting a K&N and Tornado air insert. I put one one my S-10 when I bought it and noticed a huge difference in mpg's, so Im hoping to get the same for my MC

ha, i've never thought to turn it off. i wonder if i would get better mileage that way? have you noticed consistantly better mileage that way?

my computer read out is always about 2 mpg off. now that i'm running more highway it reads out closer to about 1 mpg off to the good (meaning it says i'm getting better than i really am).

i'm getting about 26-28 going back adn forth to college on weekends right now.

Ive noticed a slight gain. Nothing big. I never understood the need for it on a FWD vehicle.
