Battery dead again
Second time in a week battery went completely dead in my 06SS. Dealer replace the battery last week picked up the car Tue was dead Sat. Towed it back and they finally decided tolook fora parasitic drain. 40 milliamp drain imagine that, Trans control module was not powering down when it should (at least that's what I was told). Should have found it the first time. Supposed to get the car back tomorrow, Hope it is fixed this time.
It seems to always take the dealer 2,3 or 4 times to fix an issue. It took 4 visits to fix my OnStar because on the 3rd visit the Tech miscommunicated with OnStar. Well, they lost a loaner for a day to fix that screw up.
Good luck! I feel your pain.

The Trans control module was replaced didn't fix it. Chevy want's de-pin the connector to the module one wire at a time to see what is keeping the module energized. 48 pins, disconnect the connector and pull the pin reconnect and power it up then wait 10 minutes to let it power down. Might be a while.
Had the rental since Sat service writer said GM was complaining about the cost of the rental so far.I did find out the Grand Prix gets really light at 85 -90.

They called this afternoon and said the BCM had a short in it causing the Trans module to stay awake.
I know a lot has changed since I last worked on them, but just a few years ago the body and powertrain modules were seperate systems. If that is not the case could someone let me know.
Supposed to get it back tomorrow, they wanted to let it sit for a full day and make sure it was ok.
I think they wanted to drive it, and beat it up cause it is the first 06SS they have had in the shop.

I'm sure your's isn't the first they've had in the shop and if you're worried about them driving it, do like I do and take down the miles in & out. The electrical is all one system connected. So the body and powertrain are interconnected.
