I was goin 50mph and hit some ice, my rear tires whiped around 180 degress and into a snow bank.The impact was enought to blow out the drivers door, and damage the front bumper, drivers fender, drivers door, dented the quater, dented the gas door, cracked the tail light, and bent the drivers exhaust.

Sorry im to embarassed to post pic, but on the bright side no bumps, no scratches, no bruses, and the air bags didnt deploy.

On a bighter note, i might order a silk auto front bumper

As for the fender and door will be replaced, and the dent will be pulled out.

The drivers door glass will have to be re tinted, and vent shaded. And the tail light with be re nite shaded.

I have alot of work to do b4 car show season, be safe out there guys.

 

Glad you weren't injured except for your pride. Sounds like you took a pretty
good hit but the car did it's job and absorbed all that energy. I 've spun on
on ice a couple of times in my life time......once while a 18 wheeler was behind me.
I was driving a 78 Chevette... !
This would , be a good time to do any body modifications to it. Don't know
much about those products but they look alright.

that really sucks man. is it just me or are the 5th gens really having a bad winter? me loosing my brakes & you hitting an ice patch... glad to hear your ok, but sucks something awfull about your monte... look on the bright side, now you dont have to worry about the door paint not matching, 'caus the whole car is gonna get painted no matter what once your done! right?

My car feels like a tank so its weird that i would slip that bad, tho i do need new tires there are kinda worn. Dang asphalt y does it have to eat up the tires when i burn out lol.

and like skylark said if im gonna do something body wise imma do it now.

I'm glad you are OK. You have to get your Monte back in shape so we (Us Southern WI, Northern IL folks) can cruise some shows this summer!
