Default Anyone Know The Answer?

While reading over the post on changing the deck lid bow tie to a red one, it got me thinking about the 2LT we rented to travel to the Monte Nats back in june.

I noticed this car seems to have a blue bow tie on the deck lid.

My LTZ sure doesn't have a blue bow tie on the deck lid? It's gold like so many other Montes.

Even the 3LT that I was considering on buying when I was looking my LTZ over has a gold bow tie on the deck lid.

So how does the rented 2LT get this blue bow tie? And I've yet to see another '06 Monte with one?

I will have to keep my eye open for 06's/07's and see what colour they are for the different models...

The lower models of monte came with a blue bowtie and the higher end models get a gold one. Simple as that. Don't know why GM chose to do it that way but again....you know how they are at choices.

Yup. Blue is for the base model and gold for the more luxuriant ones. I've never liked this as the gold looks dull.

I didn't know that? Thanks for the information.

Now....... do I want to change the bow tie on my deck lid or leave it alone? Cause I like the blue bow tie better.

This is true? I have a blue one on mine andI wouldn't consider it a base model. Is this done for the new models? I don't remember a gold bowtie on any of the 2005 models. The SS had a red outline bowtie. I guess you mean the "top-of-the-line" models get the different emblem.

[&:]Hey Mr Bigg `J.,
I hope my previous post helps answer some of the questions. If anyone has the time ?, go to autotrader and do a search and view the results. (They have every model Monte).
I personally don't understand GM logic on why they do the things they do. I really think GM has a major drug problem : )[&:]WoW
It sure would explain alot
I like the Blue Bow-Tie , but I really like the Red Bow-Tie on a Black Monte. Chevrolet is using the Gold Bow-Tie on alot of their Models. I don't think the quality is that good on the Gold. I removed mine from the REAR : ) My Monte is so fast [&:]it blew my Emblems `off
Mr Mod Bigg J., watch out for WIZ KIDD [sm=happy046.gif]he is on a race to be MCF TOP POSTER : ) I just can't keep up with him : ) He's SuperCharged : )
Peace Out
Wish U a `Happy
