Default Airbag removal help

Has anybody removed their airbag off their 6th gen monte before?
im trying to replaced my steering wheel buttons, but to get them off you first have to remove the airbag, has anybody done this before? is it difficult? ive searched and searched on how to do this but cant seem find anything that helps, let me know if anyone on here knows, thanks

your supposed to unhook the neg on the battery and pull all the airbag fuses, then there's spaces on the back of the steering wheel, not the ones with the screws. You put the screwdriver in there and turn either way, once you do them all you need to be careful because the bag will drop out, so hold it while twisting in the holes.

then once it comes out you need to disconnect the yellow wire, then you should have easy access to the buttons, i'm wanting to do mine today, ill make a video if i do it.

i just want to be safe doin it, i dont want to screw anything up lol

alright hah, i haven't done it before but that's what i've been told the steps are, the only part i don't want to do is reset my clock on my stereo, that's always a pain =D

Got my buttons replaced!! only took about 20 minutes
will post pics of the process once i clean up my mess lol
i also installed my other leather seats

heres the pics
i must say it was very simple to do, super easy

this first one shows my old buttons

heres where i got the airbag loose

here is the airbag out, i didnt have to disconnect anything, i just put it off to the side :p

ahhh USED like new buttons lmao

made sure they worked before i clipped the airbag back in

just curious, what method did you use? i couldnt seem to get the airbag to pop out, sorry i didnt make the video lol

screwdriver method lol
if u turn the wheel like i did its easier, the clips you have push outwards.
a small mirror sure comes in handy

any chance you could post the size of the screwdriver you used? i think mines too big...sorry for the dirty sounding response
