Hey thnks for the response seems like not many people on here have old montes. The motor is a 267 4.4L v8 weird i know i didn't find out until I went to put a air filter in it and the one i bought for a 305 was to big haha o well another trip back to the store. I put pics of it up in my garage not sure how to put them up on posts or if i can. Your monte is sick bro ,cowl hood looks so wicked what size rims are those? and what is the max size without lift?

i have never heard of a 4.4L v8 comming in a monte,
but realisticly these are not high dollar cars, if you want to keep it number matching ect but you want a bigger motor, pull original motor put it to the side and drop in engine of your choice and if you want to sell it as a numbers matching drop the original back in

I did some research. Its a 267 V8 rated at 115 HP. Could that thing even get out of its own way? On the bright side, it does have 5 more HP than the V6. I am not knocking your car by no means. Just never knew there was a 267. But the 305 was only rated 150 that year. The diesel 350 only had 105 also. According to this:
