Default 7th Gen. Filling Gas

Ok, so it seems like every couple times when I go to fill up at different gas stations, the pump keeps stopping like 5 seconds into trying to fill up. It will continue to do that until I move the handle around. It's almost like there's a certain position the nozzle needs to be in to actually get it to fill without stopping every few seconds. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

Typically this means that the vent in your car is clogged.

That's how cars know they are full. The vent stops working because fuel is there.

I've had that a couple times also. Usually with the same pump. Other pumps didn't do it. I was assuming it was the pump's fault. But I'll have to remember the vent next time.

I think it is the way different pumps are made. Could be ta car issue to but try other gas stations.

When it changes with the pump, I would suspect the pump and not your car.

But if you go to multiple stations and it keeps happening, I would blame your car.

Mine does it sometimes too. I just put the pump in kinda sideways and it works fine. Where is the vent that could be clogged.

Yeah I figured it would be something wrong with my car because it's happened at a few different stations. I just wasn't sure if it was a problem with the 7th gen's being real sensitive or something.

If it is a case of a clogged vent, is there a way to get to it?
