So while at the car show today i came across this sweet 1970 Monte Carlo that gets 32 mpg its powered by an unusual motor for a monte but man is it sweet

Powered by a 02 Cummins turbo diesel

 

the best part is that it is stock and i think they only produced 300 correct me if I'm wrong

 

Uhm not stock, the motor came out of a 02 Dodge Ram

 

Was awesome he said he runs it on 25% diesel 75% anything flamable.

 

That is the cool ting about diesels, as long as its flammable and can flow properly it'll burn

 

I want to put a duramax sideways in my monte now lol

 

didnt the monty from that year come with a i6 in it as well as a v8? it shouldent be a problem if it came with a i6 and the diesels can slide right in and redo the fuel system to handel the different fuel. but to be honest i would have to go with the duromax chevy has. but the duromax is imo is in just about every junk yard engine fine but what it is sitting in is shot.

 

What a waste.
