A lot of the parts I found were at WWW.pfyc.com. The Monte I found is a 06 fully loaded black with rally strips and silver ground kit but I love my 01. I really just want something I can get the most power out of and gas mileage I plan on putting a m90 s/c with 3.4 pullies

I would say to keep the '01.

1st thing is you already have a nice ride and for the money you'd put out for a 5.3 you could really improve your performance on the '01. 2nd thing.... if your looking for fuel mileage, keep to the 3.8. You may lose a bit as you add goodies to the '01 but I think in the long run you would still be ahead. 3rd.... there are many more aftermarket parts for the '00-'05s around. Maybe as time goes by more will be available for the ls4, but I'm not so sure. I've been waiting and watching and there doesn't seem to be much more out there.

Now don't get me wrong here. I love my 5.3 liter and wouldn't think about giving it up, but if your driving city with the 5.3 your mileage probably isn't going to be the greatest. I'm getting about 16 to 18 (if I'm lucky) and yes my foot can be a bit heavy, it's been like that since the day I brought her home with 50 miles on her. She now has 27000. I drive about half 55 mph country roads and half 25-35 mph city.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

you can't just swap a 3.4 with m90 without more supporting mods. it doesn't work like that.

It's been done.... I'd think that would be pushing the limits of the rods, and you'd need new heads and intake and definitly exhuast headers to maximize the use of the power.

yes it's possible, but why? i'm not expert on turbo but from what i read turbo alone run more efficient than twincharged. you going to be losing HP more on the twincharged cuz it's going to take more power to spin M90 blower. on the other side with the twincharged the turbo will spool faster.

as far as blocking off the blower housing for turbo setup alot of people are using after market upper turbo intake, or intake from 3800 V6 camaro, N/A 3800 L36 and L26.

for me i'm more into the sound of cam than turbo that's why i stick with my cam setup for now.
