No way they'll release the new generation Camaro and re-release a Monte in the same year if they're going to make the Monte RWD...

With that being said, I don't think they'd make it FWD again because of all the negative input from the consumer base. So I think it will probably come out later.. and real late, since GM won't want it to compete with the Camaro.

A 2 door G8 is called a gto. Haha. I really like the Holden chasis and the gto and g8 were all based off of the manaro. You would have to add the monte's curves to it but I could see her sitting pretty on a manaro chasis.

 

Letters have been sent to GM...

The consenses/answer from GM..... They will never make a Monte Carlo again.

Hahaha missed that. I just saw the most recent date from the other guy who posted lol. I really should pay more attention to that.

 

If GM ever decides to bring back the Monte Carlo, they need to follow a few guidelines:

-RWD
-DON'T represent a Holden model
-LS Engine
-Optional 6 Speed
-DON'T make it resemble a new Camaro's body style
-Follow Monte Carlo body features: Curved fenders, vertical tails, etc..
-DON'T make it look like any other current vehicle, make it look like a Monte Carlo
-For the LOVE OF GOD, MAKE IT A MONTE CARLO!!!
-oh, and lastly, DON'T MAKE IT TO RESEMBLE A DIFFERENT CAR OTHER THAN A MONTE CARLO!!!

Josh, I think of they build it on manaro chasis so they can fit thr rwd and lsx engines. Preferably the 415hp 6.2L V8 that graced pontiac G8 GXP. That it would be fine. I love the monte's individuality and thoes curves would be a must. Bring the monte back as the king of the track, that's what I would love. Forget the impala, and the SS is nice.... but chevy needs to go back to its roots in racing.

 

I want the new one to have no ties to the Camaro! I fricken' hate the new Camaros! Basically, I hate every vehicle made passed 2008 (Excluding Pontiac)
Have you seen the new TA that came from the Camaro chassis tho? Ewwwww!!
They need it to have a Monte Carlo chassis for a Monte Carlo. Period!
Sorry for my rant, but I get REALLY heated when it comes to Camarofying the Monte Carlo!

 

I just think they are more likely to drop it on a already designed chasis and re-do the body. I also think it should stand aparr from the rest of chevies line. Which is why I love the 6th gen.
