The car does have a good stance and proportions. I feel like just calling it the SS is lazy on GM's behalf. Hope there's an actual name by production.

What is with the black mass in the lower center grille? I mean, I get that it's there probably for rigidity in the front fascia because of the size of the grille opening, but they could at least incorporate it better or do something different to make it less obvious. Same thing with the Sonic.

The idea of a 4 door grocery getter called SS..What were they thinking?

Yet its gonna be used in nascar as a classic 2 door style Coupe?..

It would only make sense to make a 2 door version... Especially now as huge as NASCAR is...Do you really think a True NASCAR fan would buy a 4 door grocery getter ????
I certainly would NOT!

Its like saying here: Wanna buy this pig with lipstick model?....Either way.. Its still a pig!

Well it sorta look like it (The NASCAR version).... NOT!

Hi `Matt,
I think it's for the license plate in `Assuie Land (they are narrow & longer then ours) I hope it changes for N.America ?

The other Nascar models, Camry and Fusion, are four doors, as well as the ex Charger.

Space, actually looking at this image, you're right. Location for mounting the license plate bracket.

I do believe that at one point in time it was going to be called the Chevy Performance SS. I could have been mistaken though.

Hey now, I did. lol. Granted the Grand Prix came with a coupe option the years that it was used in Nascar but thats besides the point. I think that I would be awesome to have a 2 door one or at least have an option for a coupe.

It will be changed for North America. Technically the SS is the Holden Commodore which is fairly popular in Australia. About 5years ago they (GM) brought the Commodore over and rebadged it as a Pontiac G8. Holden is a sub company of GM so they do from time to time flip flop cars and call them something else. My guess is that they just kind of photoshopped the picture so you could get and idea of what it is going to look like.
