2007 Monte Carlo lt brake bleeding
I just did front and rear calipers, new rubber lines all the way around and a master cylinder, I've bled all the brakes in order for farthest to nearest and I still have a very spongey brake pedal, what am I missing and what do I need to do to get this thing to have a solid brake pedal? And comments would be greatly appreciated
(EDIT) Do you have some brakes after trying to bleed them? -Or does the pedal just drop to the floor?
Is everything installed correctly? Meaning, are the zirks at the top of the caliper?
It can take a while. I probably made 20 rounds one time while trying to bleed these brakes. My kid was limping for a day or two lol.
Eventually I made something to do the work for me. Its a simple grommet that holds 4-10ft hoses that plugs into the business end of the shop vac and goes to the bleeders. Mid-line is a bottle to catch all the fluid. Just turn on the vacuum and make some rounds, cracking valves.
Using the traditional way, it could take a few rounds, like I said.
