Thanks for the replys guys. It could be that they just took whoever's words for it that it was a pace car edition. I'll see if the dealer can pull up more details about it. If it is what it is, then there will be a build sheet code for it.

I just remembered this.

http://www.compnine.com/vid.php

On Comp Nine's main page, look for VIN Decoder/RPO Finder in the Resources on the left side. But the link above should be the VIN decoder itself.

Get the VIN# of that car and punch it in. It will give you a detailed description of the options installed by the factory. Among other info about the car!

Hope this helps.

BTW... What dealership and town is it in?

I believe that car is a compilation of decals from other versions and years of Monte Carlo.

The checker flags, Taz logo on the trunk, and "Official Pace Car" appear to be from earlier model year pace car editions. Along with the "Team Monte Carlo" decal on the spoiler.

What he said, lol.
It's a nice Monte nonetheless.

the first one is just a plam SS with decals that someone put on it. The second one that was posted was a "NASCAR" one that a second had outfit created a small number.

Default dressed up mc

......Like everyine else is saying. It's a dressed up MC SS
and it does look nice but GM stopped making the pace car
and Jr. editions after the 6th gens were redesigned.
You just have watch people these days....
