Sorry if those has been posted on here, but I get confused when people call them 6th & 7th generation Monte Carlo's? I never really here people call them that and do not know which is which, haha.

Anyways, I just got my Bermuda LED tail lights, and still have the same stock third brake light, which is a little more orangish than the red LED lights in the tail lights so it looks weird.. I was trying to find a third brake light with the red LED lights so they will match.. this is the only one I could find but it says 00-05 Monte's.. was wondering if anyone knew for sure if it will work on my 2006 Monte Carlo LT..???

im having the same delema. many other members have told me that they should work but no one with an 06/07/7th gen. monte has one installed.
ive emailed the sellers of those third brake lights with no response. so GL and make sure to p.m. me when you know for sure.

one thing i do know is that those have a black plastic trim that might not look right on your white car.

5th gen 93?-97
6th gen = 2000-2005
7th gen = 06-07

 

Dang, well maybe I will call up the Chevy place and see if they know.
And yeh, I read about it having that black trim, but the Black LEDs look good, and I plan on painting the bowtie black also, and darkening my tint to 5%.. So it will just have the white and black mix. Oh well we will see, and I will let you know what I hear

 

as soon as i wrote that i thought that it might be alright. it might fit real nice though. try to p.m. a 6th gen and see iff they will measure for you and me. lol i know theres a guy on here with a black 2003 highsport ss with the 3rd led brake light. ill find his name for you.

 

Ok I will find someone to ask.. it does not matter if it is an LT or SS does it? just as long as its 2000-2005??

and also, do you have a picture of a car with that LED third brake light so I could see how noticeable the black trim is?

many spoilers,tail lights are interchangable so i dont see why not. i just didnt want to waste 75 bucks.

 

Yeh I only see the chrome one on amazon.. and the cheapest on ebay are 55 with 15 for shipping. I am going to order it in the morning.

But i had a question about all these LEDs, since I just got the tails, and am planning on getting the projector head lights soon, do they kill your battery fast, or affect anything?

 

i have the projectors and tails. actually led's use less energy then halogen bulbs. i havent had any problems with my battery, and i abuse it.

the only time my engine started to whine is when i had to jump my g/f car. and i think her batt was super dead cause i had to let it sit for like 20 min. worst jump ever.
