2004 Monte LS problems
Hi Guys,
Lurk often, rarely post. I have a 2004 Monte Carlo LS that I purchased brand new. It has about 11,000 miles on it. Since I've got her it has been back to the dealer numerous times for little problems. The car is now on it's third ignition. The first ignition "locked up" when the car had about 1000 miles on it. The replacement ignition would get stuck in the start mode. The 3rd ignition seems to wok fine but I've noticed something peculiar about the car (which I don't think was there prior to the 3rd ignition). When I open the drivers side door to get in the car the lights on the A/c button and the Fresh air/recirculate buttons light up. The car seems to be otherwise fine (at least electrically). I was wondering if anone else has noticed this in their Monte's. I love the car but these little things are getting annoying.
Also, has anyone else experienced a whistleing sound from the engine compartment when accelerating. Seems to be most prevalent in the 20-35 MPH range.
Thank in advance.
Bob
