Wink 2004 monte carlo intimidator

Hey im thinking of trading my 2002 celica gts for a 04 monte carlo intimidator..what the pros and cons of the intimidator? Anything I should know check for? The intimidator has 70k and looks nice.im really looking forward on,the trade..any recalls on,the intimidator? What are some things that are common to go bad?this is my celi that im getting rid off..

there's not a whole lot to worry about with the intimidator.

you might want to check the gauge cluster to make sure it's okay, also the transmissions tend to be weak sometimes with higher power, but you'll only have to worry about that if you get into quite a bit of modding.

other than that, make sure all the fluids are good, check for play in the supercharger.

other than that sounds like you'll have a nice car on your hands!

^ thanks how do I check for play on the sc? Btw you have a nice ride.. My only plans for the car would be I/h/e downpipe and smaller pulley what hp and tq would I be looking at? Never had an sc ca..r before so yea im looking forward to it.my previous car,wher a,04 acura tsx,05 srt4,06 altima ser,and currently my celi,next is the monte never ever had a chevy before im not,sure how,reliability would,be but im damm sure looking forward towards owning,the intimidator..

Welcome - The Intimidator is a good choice, the 3800 II SC car is a blast to drive. Just be sure and research here on how to safely mod the engine before you drop a pulley size.

Check for any leaks, rust, and check for proper Dale Sr. badging. The cluster gauge should have his signature, headrests should have legacy stitching, side and rear emblems, and passenger side of interior has badging...and if you're lucky special floor mats. Welcome and where are you located?

Thanks im located in stockton ca I checked out the car it felt good I notice the rpms jumping alittle and when we came back I notice it seemed like a coolent leak

where was it leaking from? rpms jumping a little can be something like MAF or a bad tune. I would tell them that you'll be interested if they fix the issues
