Default 2003 v6 mustang vs ls monte?

My buddy has a mustang with the 4.0 and he always talks about how ford is better and all those lies lol. Well we finally raced and I beat him by like 3 car lengths. Could it be that he doesn't know how to drive or is the ls monte faster? He has an automatic as well. And I have a 04 ls with a cherry bomb extreme muffler, resonator delete and a home built cai. His mustang is a 4.0 v6 with magna flow exhaust and a cai. Both cars are stock In the internals of the engine

From what I can determine your both 15 / 16 second cars. Probably all came down to the driver. Is he a manual transmission? YOU WIN!!! How cool is that, nice kill!!

Haha he is automatic as well. That's what throws me. I mean I have the ls model and it is better than the v6 mustang so does the ss model kill the gt? Haha

The Gt is a mid 14 second car. Your still in the 16's, ideally he would pull away from you by about 1.5 seconds so he would beat you by about 5 to 6 car lengths. But then there is the driver factor, would not hurt to go up against one. I ran 2010 GT500 and he took me by about a fender, now that my car is in better shape power wise I need to go find him again and get me a rematch.

you say this is a 2003 with the 4.0 liter in it? did he do a swap, because 2003's came stock with the 3.8 v6?

I raced my friends 05 mustang 4.0 with a misfire and i kept u with him fine. No idea if i wouldve passed him if mymotor had less miles and no misfire on it. Any v8 would smoke the livin crap out of a 4.0.

The v6 (even the older 2v v8) Mustangs are pretty slow. However the sound that the Mustangs can have are always amazing.

Yeah they are kinda slow. My dad used to have one and for a mustang I thought it was very slow
