2002 Monte Carlo ignition lock cylinder problems
I have a 2002 Monte Carlo LS, the ignition lock cylinder was thought to be bad on it, it would not turn as if it were frozen. So we drilled a hole through the housing, and broke the tab that holds it in place. We pulled the old cylinder out, and replaced it with a new one. As soon we replaced we turned the key and pulled it out, thinking everything was ok. We went back to make sure it was working fine, and this lock cylinder was frozen too. I am now at a lose, I took the ignition housing apart, and am turning the switch to now crank the car. Now, I'm wondering if you guys could give me a little assistance.
