2000 SS shifts hard after tranny flush and change?

give it time. the new fluid needs to break in don't freak out just yet. check the fluid level. if you have been driving hard give it some slower driving for a tank. if that doesn't work give it the ***** on the highway to get the fluid moving.

Once a trans shows signs of giving up (Failing).
Your best bet is to drive it like it was meant to be driven....(Baby it) No hot rodding hard excellerations etc.... Rough driving only adds to ruining the trans and greatly reduce its life span.

Well, got it checked out earlier this week. Turns out the shift solenoid is on it's way out (WHEW!) and will need to be replaced soon. They tried resetting the codes for it, but, that didn't work long. Going to see about getting the solenoid replaced soon.
