There was never a 5gen ss to my knowledge, it's just a razzi kit and an ss sticker. From 95 to 99 there was only ls and z34.

Tip: check the trim color, Chrome is ls and black is z34

Hmm idk this is all kinda confusing lol I may have to make a trip to the Chevy dealership up the road & see if they have any history info on it bcuz yeah people could have just put the stuff on themselves but like I said what are the odds that everyone did them all exactly the same. & I can't remember what year her Monte is. I'll have to check later

You nailed it on the head right there. 5th gen "SS'" are simply a dealer added option and not an actual model. All 5th gens were either an LS or a Z34.

A steal for $1800? lol, its a 16 year old car with 200k+ miles that "needs TLC"- I'd say $1800 is way too high IMO.

after having my dad's Z34 "SS" that justin posted above i would say it was eather a dealership option or some kind of aftermarket kit, it was hard to tell if it was installed on that car when it was new or later down the road. it was a nice car though, totally loaded plus it had foglights in the front air dam.

as for being "real"... i touched, saw, and drove that car around a bit, and it seemed pretty damn real to me! as for being a high doller car... no. the car you posted looks nice as long as it's not all hokey pokey work like what was done to the car we had. but at that kind of milage the car'll be needing some major upkeep work, most importantly a NEW TIMING BELT! from what i understand that's how our car met it's demise soon after we sold it.
