I think the box in the trunk is more brickyard edition stuff that wasn't installed onto the car. Possibly the windshield banner. Not installed because of state law where the car was originally sold.
But that's just my guess.

That Monte would be a nice car if it were a plain Z34 and not a brickyard. I like everything about those cars except the stickers on the outside. They arent as collectable as the people who have them think they are. If it were a plain Z34 with the same options and the same interior scheme, I would be in.
2008 Monte Nats in Greensburg, Pa a Brickyard Monte owner wanted to pull his trailer on to the show field to unload the car. He was told "NO." He would have to park his trailer with the others and unload there. He was so mad cause he had to back on to the show field. (so no mileage showed in the car)
I heard a rumor steam was seen coming out of this Brickyard Monte owner's ears.
Personally I like this car.

Does anyone know there were limited edition Dale cars made in like 1995/6 and possibly 1997?

I've seen those 5th gen Earnhardt editions before. If memory serves me correctly, Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet (the dealership) took 25 stock Montes and customized them at the dealership. Even had Dale sign each one.
If you're looking for a true collectible Monte, I think one of those would be it.

looks like a F&F version of ours with all the stickers, literally the same noramal options, leather(ours is black not tan), Z34, moonroof, steeringwheel radio controls and I like our rims better, same as on the 2003ish Impallas

As an owner of the # 014 1995 Original Pace Car, I can tell you owning one is a lot of fun. The conversations with collectors and novice alike never end. I'm refurbishing my 014 now and hope to be on the road again before 2010 Summer is over. If you want a head turner as a good looking car or thought by some gaudy. You will never be short of conversation about her.
