I hate doing rear drum brakes too. I have only done them a few dozen times and it's always a pain. I'm glad everything I own right now has all disc breaks.

 

I generally put the entire rear up on stands, remove both wheels, do one side at a time and keep running back and forth making sure I'm putting everything together right, when doing drum brakes.:p

 

Why would you want to put rustoleum paint on it. Maybe I am just not seeing it as that bad, The more paint you put on now will make it that much harder later when you want a nice paint job. Maybe I would just black primer it. Your call, it looks decent now.

 

the whole top of the car has a pealing clear coat. and the truck in the pics is a rusoleum paint job. The monte will make the 6th one I have done as long as you pay good money for the clear coat and polish it I get asked all the time who did my paint on the truck. rustoleum mixxed 50/50 with a high grade acitone shot with a 1.4 hlpv on a 3hp air compressor at 50psi at the compressor and regulated to 36 to 38 at the gun. after every secound refill run a half cup of acetone to clear the jets it works great.
As far as the breaks thats what cell phone cams are for. Spray the old parts down so they are easy to see then take 3 or 4 pics.

well The energy suspention stuff in here and I can't wait to get started had to put the project on hold to ordering rear brake parts but will get back to it next weakend with more pics and video

 

well this weakend was a bust had to work saturday and then on sunday temps dropped to -5 degrees. Just could not get the garage up to temp nomatter what I did. Hopeing to get the brakes done wednesday night
