Default '07 Monte Carlo ReCall Question

I took my car in to get the tire sensor inspected at the dealer. I was having some problems with the tire pressure reading from 0-to-95 PSI after driving so many miles and then resetting itself back to normal. Anyhow he told me my car had 2 recalls[]? Then he told me I wouldn't get my car back for a long time I took it in yesterday at 1pm and they said it won't be ready until maybe Today basically I had to leave it overnight?

Some information of the recalls on my paperwork include CUST VEHS E85 VFFS UPDATE, REPGM ECM RECALL #06162, and UPDATE REMOTE KEYLESS INOP/BATT LOW RECALL #07007?

Has anyone heard of any other recent recalls on the Monte Carlo?

So far I've already had the entire steering coloum removed to replace that annoying sound when you turn the wheel.
So far this would be the second time I've had the car in the shop and it only has 17,300 miles on it? Is that normal or should I be alarmed?

Not alarmed for an american car. Actually the steering shaft is a common problem that occurred on 2000-2005 Montes as well. I've heard, on this forum, of people having trouble with their tire pressure monitors and keyfobs.

I've never had any of these problems but maybe I got lucky?!

I don't know how much of it was serviced but the tire monitor system in my '06 was repaired back in august. The tech said something about replacing the antenna which is located someplace near the top of the firewall and thena box located under the hood would need assitance too.

Well it's back in the shop again ...[:@]

The tire sensor light came back on 5 days after I got it from the shop. I am so pissed [:@][:@][:@]! I told the repair guy you had my car for a entire day and then some and you guys still didn't fix the problem. I asked them to replace the sensor since it's under warranty, but all they did was relearn the tire positions. I mean what good is relearning the tire positions if the sensor is faulty ... The car actually told me the sensor was faulty which then I told the repairman. I'm not to happy with Hooman GMC in Culver City. I guess next time I'll have to take it back to Felix The Cat Chevrolet on Figuroa and Jefferson

Again I've heard of this problem quite a bit on these cars but I've never experienced it and I even changed out the stock wheels with GM accessories ones. I hope they fix it for you.

I found the two recalls you said were on your paperwork on Alldata. But since I don't have a subscription, I can't get the specifics. Just the t i tle.

One of them is:
06162B JUN 07ECM Update for Virtual Flex Fuel Sensor

The other is:
07007C FEB 07Keyless Entry Transmitter/Module Programming

And they're not listed as recalls. They are listed as Technical Service Bulletins.
Hope this helps.
