i'm new here, and my 05 mc is now 1 week old,can anyone tell me why my title say's 2005
monte carlo SS and on the trunk is say's LT?

hmm....you got me stumped on that one....

 

whoa aounds like a major dealership error. if i were you i would take it back

 

i know that GM has labeled just about every vehicle this year either an LT or LS...when working at a dodge dealership, i saw an entire shipment of cars come in with upside down badges...i would check with the dealer...maybe its supposed to be there...or if you just dont want it there...hold a ehair dryer for a while, and peel it off.

 

i'll check with the dealer monday,and it the title comes back showing SS i'll have to do something
i know my ins. shows SS also

 

Actually, this is the new line up for 2005......

The official SS badged version is the Super Charged only, yours, the LT has the 3.8L and the LS is the 3.4L.

That being said, check out e-bay for all the badges to give yours the look it deserves.

TVW is right. For 2005 only the supercharged monte is labeled an SS. The LT is almost the same but without supercharger of course and badges and 17" wheels. Also, the s/c ss has a totally different suspension. Stiffer shocks and springs, larger roll bar and maybe a few others. Warpath, does your LT have dual chrome exh. tips?

 

where do you all get all ois this information on the 05?

 

it had the dual exhaust ,but i added the chrome tips

 

ya my L.T. has the 3800 engine, an i would like to dress it up with a couple of badges,but i don't like using ebay, may order from dealer
