Another success story on a 2000 Monte Carlo SS! I replaced the cabin air filter (purchased new from napa) and bought the deflector part for $3.64 from the dealership! Installation was a breeze!

The OLD cabin air filter

THANK YOU CHIBI!!!

Will this work on a 2002 Monte Carlo LS? I just bought one, so I assume this works the same as the car the OP used.

Thanks. I got one ordered at the dealer. The nice thing is it is cheap. I also got a Napa Gold cabin filter.

Was this piece apart of a redesign for the later years to address water leakage?

I think your 06 might already have the part.

I got that new piece installed. Looks real nice compared to the stock setup. I had a hard time getting the Napa Gold cabin filter in place as it acted like there wasn't enough room to get it in there. But some of the pleats ended up getting bent a little.
