Ask BBEngineer if that is something you can do or not.

They have a way to do it on Impalas...

Default How does this sound for an hid setup

I already have HID's on my low beams, and would like to put them in for my high beams but that would interfere with the drl's, how about a small set of fogs behind the grill to fake out the drl's and a set of HID's on the high beams
also wire in the fogs with HID's and hook them up so they don't turn off with the high beams. any ideas? or would that be too much?

well if you do the tape over the light sensor method then your drl's wont be on but you can still use your high beams whenever you want to... thats what i did but i dont have hid's in my high beams... just low and fogs

OK maybe I'm an idiot but where is the photo sensor for the DRL's
I think HID's in the high beams and the fogs would look excellent

its that little black thing in the dashboard up by the windsheild... just gotta pop that front dash peice up and then you can grab the sensor and twist it to pull it out... put a peice of black electrical tape over the sensor and put it back in... since the sensor is already black nobody will know but you that there is tape on it! and presto! the car thinks its night time all the time so the DRL's dont come on

hooooold up. you aren't 100% correct on that statement! in 2004 and 2005 GM switched the Impala and Monte Carlo's DRLs over to the LOW BEAM side. Why? i'm not sure. But i know that's a true fact because my '05 monte has DRLs on the low beams. and one thing i always notice with the supercharged Impala's and Monte's is that they always have the DRLs on the low beam side also and they were made in 04 and 05 only. so 2000-2003 Impala/ Monte Carlo has DRL high beams and 2004-2005 Impala/ Monte Carlo has DRL on low beam.
So chibiblacksheep and ramairetransam are both correct lol.
